Suicide Bomber Targets Convoy in North Waziristan, Two Soldiers Killed

North Waziristan: A suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a convoy in the Eidak area of North Waziristan, resulting in the killing of two soldiers.

According to sources, at least 10 people, including two civilians, were injured in the attack, which also completely destroyed the vehicle. The bodies of the soldiers and the injured were shifted to the hospital, while security forces launched a search operation in the surrounding areas to track down the attackers.

Meanwhile, in the Abbas Khattak area of Lakki Marwat, an exchange of fire between security personnel and militants led to the killing of one militant and the injury of a police officer.

A police official stated that the clash erupted when patrolling officers were attacked in the Darya Par Patti area. Militants ambushed a police van between Abbas Khattak and Wanda Shahab Khel.

District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Jawad Ishaq immediately dispatched reinforcements to counter the attack. During the gunfight, police neutralized one militant, while his accomplices managed to escape into nearby mountains.

This marks the fifth bomb attack in the last three days. Earlier of Friday, a suicide bombing at a madrassa in Akora Khattak, Nowshera, claimed six lives. The same day, Quetta and Orakzai witnessed separate attacks, while a bomb attack on a police station in Karachi injured several people.
